What We Hope To Be:

A salon for social artistry based, on the principles of feminine empowerment, and a place for group connection and creativity. A place to ground, centre, and find value. To aspire to brilliance. To get out of our heads. To build and ignite a sense of embodied presence. Ignite your passion for visibility + impact.

Benefits: An opportunity to experience deeper technical training in other genres. Mentorship from a professional dancer + arts advocate. Build body/mind clarity + strength + self-compassion. Explore the interactive elements of dance. Reflect on the practice of inclusivity in the studio. Co-create performance for social impact. Rejuvenate by exploring creative ideas + themes. Challenge your passion for personal expression. Belonging through ensemble practice + sharing.

Herstory:

The thrust to create the Gruff Goat Dance program was fueled by the desire to combine a feminine power practice, and technical dance training: to form a culture for sharing ideas and celebrating through rich local opportunities, our passion to perform and grow. We are enthusiastic, focused, and committed performers willing to learn new ways of moving and taking direction. Bold creative types not afraid to dance, who desire to mentor both in strong contemporary technical training and development of personal style. Each rehearsal encourages structured improvisation toward creating the original movement motif and learning specific steps set by the director. We welcome partnership and collaboration on innovative projects with an eye on leadership.
